WE HAVE PUT TOGETHER SOME OF THE MOST COMMON QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS. IF YOU DON’T SEE YOUR QUESTION HERE PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SEND US AN EMAIL.
WE WILL BE GLAD TO ANSWER TO THE BEST OF OUR KNOWLEDGE.

WITH SO MANY OTHER TATTOO STUDIOS AROUND ATLANTA, WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE TO GET TATTOOED AT NOT OF THIS WORLD TATTOO & PIERCING?

We go to great lengths to ensure that every client receives the best possible tattoo. We will not only listen to your ideas, but we will counsel you on the optimum size, placement, and design. Our friendly artists are extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of tattoo design and application so you can trust that you are in good hands. Professionally licensed by the Walton County Board of Health, we rigorously follow county and state regulations applying to the craft of body art. We are trained in first aid/cpr and infectious disease control. All of our equipment is hospital grade and autoclaved sterilized. We only use new, single use disposable needles with every procedure. Our clients are guaranteed to have a safe and friendly experience at Not Of This World Tattoo & Piercing.

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?

Tattoos are by appointment ONLY! Walk ins are available for piercings. Although we do recommend making an appointment to guarantee service. Appointments always come first. We do understand that "life happens" and that keeping an appointment can be difficult at times. Please be kind to our artist and clients by rescheduling or cancelling if you cannot make your scheduled appointment. We simply ask that you contact us within 48 hours of your tattoo appointment. If for any reason you need to change your design we need to be notified within 48hrs of your scheduled tattoo or you will lose your Appointment and deposit. If you fail to contact within 48 hours or do not contact us what so ever, you forefit your non-refundable deposit. We require a deposit for all appointments. Your deposit will be applied to the total cost of your tattoo at the completion of your service. Please visit the appointment page to place your deposit.

HOW MUCH DOES A TATTOO COST?

The cost of your tattoo depends on a number of factors including size, placement, skin type, and color vs. black and gray. We are not a $25.00 shop nor are we TV celebrities. For smaller tattoos, we will generally quote you a price up-front. For larger tattoos, your artist may opt to quote you per session rate.

WHAT PIERCINGS DO YOU PERFORM?

We can do almost any piercing. But there are some piercings we do not do. No dermal piercings. We do not do snake bite piercings on the tip of the tongue. That piercing eats away at the enamel on your teeth, which does not grow back. We do offer a surface tongue piercing.

Some piercings do have different names for the same body part, if you don't see the particular name but you do see that body part most likely we do that piercing. So if you want a faux rook piercing, that would be the same as a rook piercing. Just put the name of the piercing in the comment box when you make your appointment.

CAN I GET A PRICE QUOTE?

We will try our best to give you a price estimate. Please be prepared to send in references and a clear photo of just the body part where the tattoo will go. There is absolutely no way a price can be given until we see what we are doing, size, location, detail, etc... If you are looking for a quality tattoo or piercing done in clean sterile conditions by a competent knowledgeable person, which is what we offer, you are not going to find that type of work by going to the person charging half the price of everyone else. We are looking for clients that care about what they will be receiving, and want the procedures done right, clean, and sterile. With that said, what we charge is fair prices for the working class!

I'M 17, CAN I GET A TATTOO IF MY PARENT SIGNS FOR ME?

As of now, Georgia state law requires that you be at least 18 years old to get a tattoo. Furthermore, we believe that you will inevitably regret a tattoo that you receive at such a young age since you are still growing physically and mentally.

HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE FOR A PIERCING?

ARE TATTOOS SAFE?

We can't speak for every tattoo studio, but here at Not of This World Tattoo & Piercing , your health and safety is our highest priority. In addition to providing new needles for every client, we also adhere to strict procedures to avoid cross-contamination. You can expect to see disposable ink holders, disposable razors, and barriers on everything that must be touched during the tattoo process. We work closely with the Walton County Department of Health to ensure that our methods comply with the most current guidelines.

DOES IT HURT?

Yes it hurts. We are using needles to permanently insert pigments into your skin. The pain varies from person to person but is similar to a cat scratch or a hair pull.

ARE TATTOOS ADDICTIVE?

Good ones are! Which is why it’s important to get your tattoo from a licensed studio. If you are letting your buddy tattoo you out of his living room- you are only hurting yourself and degrading the industry.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?

Not of This World Tattoo & Piercing is open Tuesday through Friday from 12pm (noon) -6pm and Saturday 12pm (noon) -7pm. We are closed on Sunday and Monday.
We do not start any tattoo over 3 inches at or after 4pm. We are not a late night shop, we would like to get home to our children.
